Firecracker Cheese Crackers

Ashlie
I don't know about you, but I am a snacker! I love something to nibble on while waiting on dinner to be complete or while I am at a gathering with family and friends. These firecracker cheese crackers are a perfect combination of crunchy, tangy, spice to enjoy with a nice cold beverage while barbequing on a summer evening with loved ones.

Equipment

  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Silicone Spatula
  • 1 Large Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 1 12.5oz Box of Cheese Crackers
  • 1 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 1oz Ranch Seasoning Packet
  • 2 tsp Red Crushed Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions

  • Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees.
  • Pour a 10.5oz box of cheese crackers into a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add 1 cup of olive oil to the same medium mixing bowl and use a silicone spatula to fully coat the cheese crackers with the olive oil.
  • Then you will pour a 1oz ranch seasoning packet over the olive oil coated cheese crackers, along with 2 tsp of red crushed peppers, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder. Mix all of the ingredients together with your silicone spatula in the medium mixing bowl until the crackers are evenly coated.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the seasoned coated cheese crackers onto the large lined baking sheet. Make sure that the crackers are spread evenly out on your large baking sheet, not overlapping to ensure that they fully bake. This will prevent oily crackers. If you have to bake two batches due to the crackers not all fitting on the large baking sheet, I encourage you do that.
  • Pop your crackers a 375 degree oven and bake for 10 minuets. Then open the oven and move the crackers around a bit with the silicone spatula and bake the crackers for an other 10 minuets.
  • After the seasoned cheese crackers have baked for 20 minuets, let them cool completely, and then enjoy some firecracker cheese crackers!
